UNE RENCONTRE CITOYENNE AU CŒUR DE KITA-KU

 

Les élèves de 1re LVC/A de Madame OKI ont eu l’opportunité d’interviewer la maire de Kita-ku, dans le cadre d’un échange particulièrement enrichissant autour de l’engagement, de la responsabilité publique et de la vie locale.

Au cours de cette rencontre, les élèves ont posé des questions sur son parcours, les raisons qui l’ont conduite à devenir maire, ses objectifs pour l’arrondissement, mais aussi sur des sujets plus personnels.

Ce qui les a particulièrement touchés, c’est l’attachement profond de la maire aux habitants de Kita-ku. Elle a expliqué que sa priorité était que chacun puisse être heureux de vivre dans son arrondissement.

À la fin de l’entretien, interrogée sur les conseils qu’elle donnerait aux lycéennes souhaitant réussir à l’international, elle a adressé un message fort, non seulement aux jeunes filles, mais à toutes les femmes : « N’abandonnez jamais ce que vous aimez. »

Cette rencontre illustre l’ambition du LFI Tokyo : former des élèves curieux, ouverts, responsables et capables de dialoguer avec le monde qui les entoure.

 

Students from Madame OKI’s 1re LVC/A class at the International French School in Tokyo had the opportunity to interview the Mayor of Kita-ku during a meaningful exchange on public service, civic engagement and local life.

During the interview, students asked about her career path, her reasons for becoming mayor, her goals for the ward and more personal aspects of her journey.

What particularly impressed them was the Mayor’s deep attachment to the residents of Kita-ku. She explained that her main priority was for people to feel happy living in their community.

At the end of the interview, when asked what advice she would give to high school girls hoping to succeed internationally, she shared a powerful message not only for young women, but for all women: “Never give up on what you love.”

This inspiring encounter reflects the International French School in Tokyo’s commitment to educating curious, open-minded and responsible students, ready to engage with the world around them.

 

東京国際フランス学園のMadame OKI先生の1re LVC/Aの生徒たちは、北区長にインタビューする大変貴重な機会を得ました。

インタビューでは、区長を目指した理由、北区の将来に向けた目標、そしてこれまでの歩みや考え方について質問しました。

生徒たちが特に心を動かされたのは、区長の北区民への深い思いでした。区長は、区民一人ひとりが自分の住むまちで幸せに暮らせることを大切にしていると語りました。

また、国際的に活躍したい高校生への助言を求められた際には、若い女性だけでなく、すべての女性に向けて「好きなことを決してあきらめないでください」という力強いメッセージをくださいました。

この交流は、生徒たちにとって市民意識、対話力、国際的な視野を育む有意義な学びの時間となりました。
